Gamenight – Troubleshooting

Whoops – I forgot to select my controller in the AmigaLive menu before starting a game

No problem, you can do this in-game. Press F12 on your keyboard to bring up the in-game menu. You can see the controls currently set for player 1 and player 2 as shown in the image below (if you’re in game with 3 or 4 players you’ll find the controls for players 3 and 4 by clicking ‘more’ beneath the player 2 slot). Use the arrow keys to move down to your player slot and press enter:

The list of ‘ports’ will come up, with a player number allocated for each as shown in the picture below. Move down to your player port and press enter – i.e. if you want to change the controller for player 1, go to ‘joystick port’ and press enter: list

Select your controller from the list that appears with the arrow keys and enter. In the example below, the controller is called xinput controller (actually an Xbox 360 controller):

Your controller has now been selected, press Esc to exit the menus.

I’ve definitely set up my controller properly but its still not working…

Hmm. Maybe check on the main AmigaLive menu that you’ve not accidentally selected ‘Spectator’ in this box – it should be set to whichever player you’re trying to control (or player 1 if you’re playing a turn-based game where everyone shares the same ‘port’):
